Centre County PAWS, Inc. is a no-kill shelter located in State College, PA. They are committed to finding forever homes cats and dogs, educating about responsible pet ownership, providing spay/neutering assistance, and ending pet overpopulation. For the month of May they are celebrating their adoptable cats with a month long campaign - $5 adoption fees for cats one year and older! Interested persons can check out their adoptable cats page, or stop by to meet the cats during shelter hours. The shelter is open Monday evenings 5-7pm, Tuesdays 11am - 2pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 11am-4pm. The best days to meet the cats are Saturdays and Sundays, when the cats living in foster homes are at PAWS for the weekend.
Here is a wonderful article that the Chicago Tribune wrote about the campaign.
I know, it seems a bit strange to have a "sale" on cats, but campaigns like this not only attract potential forever families that may otherwise be deterred by high adoption rates, they also help make room for the shelter to accept, and save, even more adoptable pets. Please pass this along to anyone you think may be interested in adopting a wonderful, furry feline companion!

I sure hope lots of happy endings come as a result of this promotion!
Rumpydog I hope so too! These kitties deserve a loving home, and I hope that many of them find one. Thanks so much for stopping by the page!
