Adoption Fees Waived for Black/Tuxedo Cats from Seattle Humane Society!

I love when animal shelters do events like this. Though adoption fees are necessary to help cover the care the animals receive while at the shelter, high fees can deter many people from considering adoption. Well now this weekend, February 25-26, if you live in the Seattle, WA area adoption fees will not be an issue. The Seattle Humane Society is hosting the Acatemy Awards, and waving the adoption fees on all black or tuxedo (black and white) cats who are one year or older! Humane Society staff will be dressed to impress as well - sporting bow ties and boas to celebrate the event.

Sadly black animals have an adoption rate of only 50% of that of other animals, so if you are looking to open your home and heart to an animal, choosing a black cat or dog is truly a wonderful thing. I have a black cat and a tuxedo cat, and think they are the most beautiful cats. So if you are looking to adopt a wonderful furry feline this weekend, and live in the Seattle, WA area, please consider adoption one of the Acatemy Award kitties!
